We are a creative team of people working across film, music, and digital media. With respect for ancestors and roots, we bring inherited culture and stories to people today.
実際にアイヌにルーツを持つクリエイターやエカシやフチ（アイヌ語で「尊敬される年長者」を意味する言葉）をはじめとするアイヌの方々の協力のもと、各分野の専門家とともにカルチャーメディア「Pirika Media」を運営しています。アイヌ文化をはじめ、北海道の地名や言葉、自然、そしてその土地に生きる人々の物語を発信しています。
With the cooperation of Ainu people — including creators with Ainu roots, as well as ekashi and huci (Ainu words meaning "respected elders") — we run the culture media Pirika Media together with specialists in each field, sharing Ainu culture as well as Hokkaido's place names, languages, nature, and the stories of the people who live on that land.
文化を難しいものとして遠ざけるのではなく、誰もが自然に興味を持ち、親しめる入口をつくることを大切にしています。
Rather than treating culture as something distant and difficult, we value building an entrance where anyone can naturally take interest and feel at home.

私たちの姿勢Our Stance
アイヌ文化やアイヌ語地名の解釈には古くから諸説があり、地域や時代、語り手によって伝えられてきた内容が異なる場合があります。Pirika Mediaで発信する内容は、文献や資料、エカシやフチから伺ったお話をもとに、学びながらまとめた一つの例であり、唯一の正解を示すものではなく、特定の地域・方言・表現を代表するものでもありません。
Interpretations of Ainu culture and Ainu-language place names have long varied — by region, era, and storyteller. What Pirika Media shares is one example, compiled while learning from literature, historical sources, and the words of ekashi and huci; it does not claim to be the only correct account, nor to represent any particular region, dialect, or expression.
アイヌの文化とことばは、今を生きるアイヌの人々のものです。その豊かさへの入口となることを願い、今後も学びを深めながら、よりよい発信のかたちを育ててまいります。
Ainu culture and language belong to the Ainu people living today. Hoping to serve as an entrance to their richness, we will keep learning and refining how we share them.
また、この活動で生まれた収益の一部は、アイヌ文化継承団体や森林保全活動への支援に充てています。
A portion of the revenue from these activities goes to supporting Ainu cultural heritage organizations and forest conservation efforts.
